Peanut butter jelly balls - date free!

Many energy/bliss/protein balls - whatever you prefer to call them, use dates as a binding agent and sweetener. These ones I've created are less sweet yet still full of goodness and use only 3 ingredients to form these yummy, refined sugar free little treats instead!



Ingredients:

2 cups rolled oats

1 cup chia/strawberry jam

1 cup organic peanut butter

1/2 cup extra rolled oats (ground in blender to form a course flour to roll balls in)


Method:

1. In a food processor or bullet blender process 2 cups of oats till coarsely ground, add in chia jam and peanut butter and process ingredients till smooth and bound.

2. Roll into bite size balls.

3. Coat with rolled oat flour and pop in the fridge to satisfy a hunger craving!

N.B. Keep in mind these do contain nuts and should be kept out of school lunch boxes and away from those with nut allergies.
